Lessons

Beginner to Intermediate lessons are available for both children and adults. Riding lessons may include catching the horse, grooming, saddling, basic ground skills, and learning to ride safely. Intermediate lessons will focus more on riding with confidence. As well as riding lessons Ashley offers training lessons, where she will guide you as you develop your horse. Lessons are available at River Run Stables or at a location near you.

Private Lessons

Private Lessons at River Run Stables are available one, two, or three times per week. Private lessons on a lesson horse cost $35/hour. Students who board their horse at River Run Stables get a discounted rate of $25/hr. Contact Ashley to schedule your lessons now.

Group Lessons

8 Week Session February 6 - March 27

Kids Beginner 3 Horsemanship Class (Saturdays 9:30am-11 am)

This class builds upon the skills of the Beginner 2 class. Students should feel confident walking and trotting. Students will become more aware of specific rein positions and will learn how to trot patterns. Students will also increase their ground skills with horses.

Kids Intermediate 2/3 Horsemanship Class (Saturdays 12pm-1:30pm)

Building upon the Intermediate 2 class, students will learn to canter patterns, advance their groundwork for a better ride, and delve deeper into the methods of using horse psychology to train horses. This class will have a bigger emphasis than previous classes on Equitation (the rider's position while mounted, and the rider's ability to ride correctly and with effective aids).

How much does it cost?

Group lessons that run for an hour and a half are $30/lesson/person. Pay for the entire 8 week session up front and receive 2 free group lessons towards the next session.
